Hi, I’m Peggy Freeh.
I love daily practices of all sorts – mediation, yoga, journaling. Over the last 10 years, I have used daily practices to keep myself more grounded, centered and present in my day to day life.
I originally created this website and podcast as part of my life coaching business. I’ve since moved onto a new business, but I wanted to leave this website and podcast up so it can continue to inspire people to create the perfect daily practice for them.
You don’t have to meditate. You don’t have to be absolutely consistent every day. You don’t have to stick to one practice all the time. There is a whole universe of possibility in daily practice that can change your life, and I hope you can use the podcast interviews to create a daily practice you love!
My Daily Practice Journey
I graduated from college with two computer science degrees and a great job at a high tech company. I did my job well, but I was clear that technology wasn’t my passion.
Instead, I loved personal and spiritual growth. I’d spend hours at the bookstore, and leave with bags full of books. I’d read them all and practice what was in them. I’d go to all the workshops I could. I was in heaven. I was growing and exploring and expanding.
I eventually quit my job and became a stay-at-home mom. I still bought the books (and even read some of them), but I didn’t have the time and energy to do the practices any more.
As a result, I struggled. I had a hard time being present with my two kids. I was irritable. I felt worn out and overwhelmed. I didn’t experience much joy and pleasure in my life. I knew there must be a way to feel more of the peace and balance I had before I had kids.
I enrolled in a life coach training program that encouraged a daily practice. I loved it. I did the practice almost every day. It was such a relief to take that time and energy for myself and find more clarity and balance in my life.
Over the years, I’ve continued my daily practice, varying what I do as I’ve grown and changed.
I can feel my feelings now without being triggered by them. I have a much clearer, deeper connection to what’s happening in my body. I’m more connected to my intuition. I easily know what’s right for me and what’s not.
Life still gets challenging, but when I feel myself going off balance, I regain it quickly. I hardly spend any time in overwhelm and stress. I live from a more intuitive place and I’m calm and peaceful much of the time. I had read about living this way in all those books, but it took a regular daily practice to make it a reality for me.
